For as long as I can remember I’ve always been larger than ideal, my weight always seeming to grow proportionally with my height. It’s not something I was ever seriously taunted about, but it was an ever-present problem that always made me feel bad about myself.
After my first throwback post last week I’ve gone out and taken some fresh new photos for today’s update.
I was looking through some more of my micro-fiction pieces earlier and decided I’d upload a couple more this weekend.
After some spur of the moment photography last week, I’m going for more of a throwback affair this time around.
We have technology that can tell us how fast a runner crossed the finish line to the closest thousandth, or how strong an athlete kicked their opponent in a Taekwondo match, yet we’re unable to show the replay of a dive to the judges who have about five seconds to decide their score.
Every now and again I’ll pick up a pen and decide to do a short piece of writing. I might do several in one sitting, I might not. It depends on how the mood takes me.
It’s been a while since I’ve just gone out and had some fun with my camera, but the break’s made me appreciate coming back to it now.
Team GB revived their ‘Super Saturday’ from London 2012 when they claimed 6 medals in Rio this Wednesday after a slow start from the previous Olympic hosts.
Whilst I may only be an amateur in photography, I still take great pride in my snaps. If anything ever comes out of my love for this hobby then I will forever be a happy man.
